We are looking for technicians specialized in omic sciences with previous experience in proteomics and/or mass spectrometry. In concrete, we are looking for the following profiles:

  •  The ideal candidate should have expertise in various mass spectrometry instruments, and should be familiar with the typical proteomic workflow: database searching, machine learning for peptide/protein identification using Mascot and related software, and hands-on experience in sample preparation and separation techniques related to proteomics including two-dimensional chromatography, gel-electrophoresis and NanoLC. Expertise in proteomic SRM/absolute quantitation is a plus.

Daily activities will include data acquisition, processing and analysis; interpretation and dissemination of proteomics results to researchers; as well as possible maintenance and operation of state-of-the-art mass spectrometers as well as wet lab sample preparation as needed.

COS is opened to receive outstanding scientists whose research is based in omic technologies with a profile that could be granted with a MINECO Postdoctoral Fellowship, a Ramon y Cajal contract or a Beatriu de Pinos contract.

Main requeriments are:

Ramon y Cajal: Doctoral Degree obtained from 01-01-2003.

Beatriu de Pinos: Doctoral Degree obtained from 01/01/2007 to 31/12/2011 being outside Spain during 2 years prior the incorporation to the COS.

MINECO Postdoctoral Fellowships:  Doctoral Degree obtained from 30-10-2009.

COS also looks for FP technicians specialized in omic sciences with previous experience in proteomics, genomics, transcriptomics, gases or liquid chromatogaphy, NMR and/or mass spectrometry.
